MATCH REPORT

On Sunday we journeyed out to a beautiful sunny Melbourne. It was a very hard start running out with 16 players. We had a 4 man forward line. Dasha took over as captain due to the loss of Tala and did a great job.

The game started and they jumped to a 3 goal lead at qtr time. We were battling hard in the middle and trying to get some ball to the forwards. Brad kicked a nice goal in the first qtr which was pleasing and he tried hard with his injury. In the second qtr Karl and Frosty put Lou in the backline and he played brilliantly for the whole game. At half time we were about 7 goals down and guys were getting tired chasing.

Melbourne had some good structures going but we had no answers. We put Bear and Rugby Steve in the middle and they did quite well. Thanks to Tony, Sammy, Brad Geelong and Fitzy for helping us out again. So in the end we went down by 70 points but the guys never gave up which is pleasing. It was good to see Clint back and Rhetta and Pete did some good stuff.

Next game I would like all players to get to the ground by 11.45am to make my job easier. Good effort.
