MATCH REPORT

Round 2 saw us trekking out to Braybrook to play Western Saints. Game started well for us running the ball quickly out of the middle 7 shots at goal by first quarter break resulting in 4 Goals 3 points to nil goals from opposition. Our goalkickers were spread out evenly and we could have been further ahead but late in quarter could sense opposition were starting to get moving by rebounding quickly.

Second quarter was a reversal where Western Saints kicked 5 Goals 3 Points to our 1 goal, coach quote at half time was a game of two half's quickly corrected to 2 quarters. Simply we stopped doing the hard things we did in the first quarter and this consistency we need to work on.

We came out of the sheds fired up and it was an arm wrestle for the first ten minutes then Western started to take over control of the game kicking 2 goals 2 points to 1 goal. We had many entries into 50 but unable to capitilise. Plenty of physical contests around the ground with Bruiser competing with man mountain twice his size and giving us drive off the wing

Last quarter we were still in the game we kicked 2 points late which were a chance to be goals which unfortunately were rebounded quickly to close out our chance to snatch a win

Positive signs are we can play good footy in patches we just need to maintain consistency and follow our game plan which everyone is adapting to. To the 7 guys who played in 2 games well done and thanks for your contribution, hopefully we will start to get back players we have missed which will strengthen our line up going forward

Our next game is at home and is real important we get to training and have a full list to choose from
