Round 6 saw the Over 50's venture back to Williamstown's home ground at Altona North. Lots of out's and we started proceedings with just the required 18.

Trevaskis kicked the opening goal of the game and when Paigey goaled in the second quarter we again hit the front and lead our highly fancied rival 2:3 to 2:2 deep into the second quarter.

At about the 16 minute mark we seemed to tire and they kicked two late goals, to lead 4.5.29 to 2.3.15 at the main break. The vibe in the change rooms was upbeat and positive and every single player had done something good in the first half.

I suspect the Willie team got quite a rocket at half time and they comfortably won the second half 5 goals to our 1. A real sour taste was left when in the very last minute of the game, first gamer Kosta suffered a broken ankle.
