MATCH REPORT

Round 5 saw the over 50's at home against Essendon and looking to celebrate the 100th game of club stalwart Darren Fitzhenry. After an even first half in which our back line manned up and held up really well, it was 4 goals to 0 at half time and of course the legend himself had chipped in for two.

The Festival of Fitzy really kicked off in the third quarter with Lamb Chop having an excellent term and being the missing link through our half forward line. An unprecedented 8 goals were slotted that quarter with The Rev adding his third and fourth goal. Sam was at his creative best, Pinga was dominating in the ruck and Rob G. was busting a gut as usual.

The game was played in good spirit and I must thank those players who filled in for a quarter or so for the opposition to keep it an even contest at 18 a side, well done to you !
