MATCH REPORT

With some new arrivals and some old faces returning, on paper it really looked like the best squad the Ones had put up all year.

An old fashion motivational based preparation certainly bought out the best in many of the players and indeed at quarter time we held a slender lead 3.1.19 to 3.2.20.

Dingley’s ability to switch was countering some excellent close in handballing on our part and they had snuck out to a 6.3.39 to 4.5.29 lead at half time.

Again we took it up to our opposition and just won the third quarter, scores at that break 7.3.45  to 5.8.38.

Continued the theme of our mission for the day however, unfortunately our opposition proved too strong in deteriorating conditions and the final score of 8.6.54 to 5.10.40 was probably a fair reflection of the match but possibly not of our effort.

Thanks to Matty D for helping out on the coach's bench and thanks to the players for giving me the opportunity to coach.  I am sure most of you are looking forward to welcoming back Frosty.
