MATCH REPORT

First round for 2018 against Carrum Cowboys and we were looking forward to first hit out.  Warriors started with a strong side and early we looked like we were going to match Carrum but towards the end of the first quarter their big forwards had started to move into the game.  A high scoring second quarter from Carrum with clean movement put the game just out of reach of  the Warriors. We looked rusty and a few uncharacteristic mistakes also help opened the lead up.

At half time Coach asked for a more physical and accountable contest - All Warriors should be proud of their second half but the deficit was hard to impact with the remainder of the game a tussle - both sides playing hard physical footy. Some good passages of footy from Warriors where we moved the ball quickly and opened up with use of switch looking to score however we had some unfortunate misses at goal that if accurate would have improved the final score quite a bit. Bear had a tough day at the office but kept his sense of humour when he came off 'why did you wait 3 quarters to drag me?'

A determined effort in the second half with some warrior quick end to end movement which will prepare us for our next hit out in 2 weeks' time, its early in the season and there are plenty of positives to work on.
