MATCH REPORT

Round 6 we journeyed down to Narre Warren's ground and took on Carrum Downs. First qtr we started very slowly with Carrum kicking the first goal and then we started to work into the game, with Seal Juzzy and Big Al working solidly around the ground. Unfortunately Brad Geelong hurt his calf and could only play deep forward. At quarter time it was 1 goal a piece

Brad was doing a great job at full back also with Marty and Miles. I put it to the boys to really improve the intensity. We were working really hard to give drive out of the middle. Our forward line was working really well but could not kick straight. At half time we were 3 goals up and working really well

3rd quarter Carrum decided to put Travis Johnstone on the ball and he started to turn the game around to their favour but credit to our boys we still were battling really hard. Al was doing a great job in the ruck. Cameron, Keiran, Scotty Lester all were great up forward. Seal chipped in with 2 goals for the game. At 3 quarter time we held a slim lead but I could see we were running on empty with 18 players only. It was an awesome effort but unfortunately the game came down to some bad decisions but that's footy. I think we have learnt a lot from that 5 point loss. Very proud of the boys but it's a must win against Mordialloc this Sunday. I know as coach we can do it.
