MATCH REPORT

Round 5 saw Waverley Warriors Seconds take on South Yarra Firsts at the home of De La Salle. With some changes in the Ones, we were lucky to field 19 players at the start and were very fortunate that 3 of the Over 50's came down to lend a hand.

It was 5.5 to nothing at quarter time and by half time the lead had blown out to 12.9 to zero. Tried more or less a distracting tactic to try and keep the morale up, unfortunately this back fired to some extent, so lesson learnt. Another 8 goal third quarter followed by a 6 goal last quarter, saw South Yarra Ones run out comfortable winners 26.16 to 0.1. Thanks to Funky for scoring that point.

The simple message is that we just need to hold it together, come through this rough patch and remember payback is a bitch !
