Today we ventured down to Highett to play Bayside. Weather wise a terrific day for footy and we finally didn't have the wind blowing a gale. After a strong week on the track working on some plays to make us improve and a strong squad of 22 players we were determined to keep the wins coming.

1st Qtr

Well not the start we were looking for, we were not playing team footy and found ourselves 3 goals down to zero by the 10 minute mark. To the boys credit we were able steady the tide and level things pretty much up at the break. Big Cam taking a couple of big marks and finishing with goals.

2nd Qtr

We started to get our game rolling in the second with terrific pressure from the forwards which helped create goals and also slow Bayside out with their transition. Matty Clarke leading the way with 2 goals.

3rd Qtr

We were determined to keep the pressure on and that is what we did. Our switch was most encouraging with the run from the half backs Matty D and Seal playing terrific games. However this is all able to happen as the midfield and the forwards are all playing their roles defensively which allows these guys to get free. Great effort.

4th Qtr

We finished the game full of running, probably didn't get reward for effort. The highlights of the last 1/4 was Louie intercepting the kick out to snag a goal and Klause mark and shot which just missed, Great to see these guys taking their opportunities, Well done fellas.

In the end a convincing win, i think we kept them to no goals after half time, 2nd week in a row we have done that. A team defence, Great effort. Today we also played 8 players through either half forward, wing and the back pocket all on rotation. This gives us flexibility all over the ground and its important for all players to understand how the set ups work, a credit to you all with how you are going about this. Also a great job by Big Al to ruck all day without a break on a very good opponent, learning the roll Big Man and you are playing well.
